The Ski Salt Lake passes offer skiers and riders the flexibility to choose from a variety of pass choices which ensures that customers get the most bang for their buck. Choose from full-day passes, multi-day passes, and season passes that can be redeemed at Alta, Brighton, Snowbird or Solitude. There are no blackout dates and the passes are valid at any time during the 2011-2012 season. In addition to huge savings on lift tickets, pass holders are also entitled to free transportation to and from resorts via the UTA Ski Bus and Trax Lightrail, as well as 20% off equipment rental packages at participating sports shops. It’s a great deal and an even better way to experience four of Utah’s best resorts.

Alta is a fantastic resort with a large amount of terrain. There are over 2,220 acres and more than 2,000 feet of vertical. On average the resort receives an enormous amount of snow, generally exceeding 540 inches. They also have fabulous cat accessed backcountry. Brighton is another wonderful resort and the only one in Utah with 100% lift accessed terrain. In total, there are 1,875 feet of vertical and more than 1,000 acres. Snowbird is one of the largest resorts in Utah and boasts more than 2.500 acres and a staggering 3,200 feet of vertical. The terrain is greatly varied and suitable for all ages and ability levels. Fortunately, Snowbird and neighboring Alta generally have the longest seasons, many times lasting until the Fourth of July. Solitude Resort has exactly that and much more. There are more than 1,200 acres and skiers and riders may find that oftentimes they have the entire run to themselves. Solitude is the quietest resort on the list and offers guests the opportunity to enjoy nature as they race between trees and natural moguls.

The Cottonwood Canyon is a gem for skiers and riders. Steep daunting mountains, plentiful terrain, and dry, powdery snow are just a few of the reasons why people from all over the world flock to Utah each winter. The Ski Salt Lake passes are a great way to save money and see all that the Wasatch-Cache National Forest and surrounding area has to offer skiers and riders this winter.
