Keystone Resort Levels Up Family-Friendly Skiing

Just 75 miles from Denver, Keystone resort continues to improve and revamp existing programs and amenities for next season. They’ve leveled-up family skiing with lots of perks built into its on-mountain experience.

Kids Ski Free will be back for its third season in Winter 2014-2015. Only a two-night minimum stay is required, there are no blackout dates (it includes holidays and weekends), and no lift ticket requirement for adults. Parents can use the convenient wagons and gear chauffeurs conveniently placed throughout the resort to help them lug all the extra gear to and from the lifts. Keystone tops off the perks with free family parking just steps from their gondola in the front row of its main parking lot. No more “how far is it?” before hitting the first run.

Last season’s debut of Kidtopia headquarters, and the first-of-its-kind Family Ski Trail was a huge success. After hours of exploring this huge snow fort with tunnels and an exterior they can climb, children will enjoy cruising together with their parents and siblings down the Schoolyard, a family ski trail located on Keystone’s green run, Schoolmarm.

The Camp Keystone children’s ski and ride school continues to be award-winning and an industry leader, both with their interactive indoor space and on-snow progressive learning techniques. With Keystone’s recent purchase of a snow-making pipe and snowcats, they’ve also leveled-up their snow-making capacity and efficiency for even  more consistency in snow conditions throughout the season.

In addition to the skiing and pricing, Keystone resort organizes all types of after skiing activities  that’ll appeal to your entire clan – snowcat tours, weekend parades, mountain light shows, fireworks, a Sunday morning brunch. Adventurous folks will be stoked with snow biking, followed with an upscale dinner in a rustic cabin by way of a horse-drawn wagon. Children can round off their on-mountain vacation with a weekly après gathering tailored just for them.

Keystone continues to add programs and amenities to enhance family’s on-mountain experience together. They pay special attention to the needs of the littlest of the clan, without sacrificing the world-class experienced for more seasoned skiers.  I personally can’t wait to enjoy these new on-mountain amenities with my kids.
