We recently told you about why The Canyons is among our favorite ski resorts in the entire Lower 48, especially now that it’s part of the Epic Pass.
With its 4,000 skiable acres, three terrain parks, and six natural halfpipes, you’ll wonder if you can actually ski the entire resort during one ski vacation. On top of that, only 10 percent of the resort is set aside for beginner skiers, and nearly 50 percent is rated at black diamond. That’s a whole lot of incentive for ski enthusiasts to head out to Utah this year.

Almost even more exciting is the affordability of The Canyons. Starting this year, anyone buying the Epic Pass will have full access to the resort, but you can also save on lift tickets when you start looking early in the season. We understand the ski season hasn’t  started fully, yet, but thrifty shopping requires thinking ahead sometimes! Think of planning ahead in several areas; get your lodging, ski rentals, ground transportation, and other fun activities early on and save before the ski season even starts!

The lodging specials for the ski season in Utah are some of the best we’ve seen in years!  When you book before the ski season starts, you are going to save up to 50 percent! On top of that, traveling during the first month of the ski season is going to give you an advantage over those who wait. Check out Utah’s Best Vacation Homes to find an affordable vacation rental property. They have properties throughout the Salt Lake City area, have loads of experience, a great website to help you find unique offers and great properties, and their customer service team is top notch. Another option might be the Park City Lodging, Inc. With 30 years’ experience, you’ll find numerous options and conveniences through Park City Lodging. For example, some folks love the maid service when staying at a hotel and choose that over a vacation home. Don’t let that stop you from staying at a great vacation home. Just ask their convenient concierge service to set that up, and you’ll rental property can be cleaned throughout your stay. They will even get groceries delivered to your property before you arrive and provide discount lift ticket deals!

One of the best things about skiing at Park City, Deer Valley, or the Canyons is that everything is so close, you absolutely can skip renting a car during your stay. Think of it this way, your rental car will sit in a paid parking spot as soon as you reach the mountain because the free transit shuttle services around the area are so great, you just won’t need your own car. Canyons Transportation has the deals you want to check out this year to get from and to the airport. Get a family of four to the mountain for $100 bucks in a private SUV. Guess what? They will even stop at the grocery store on the way to your private vacation rental? How great is that?!

Ski ‘N See Ski Rental Shops not only offer great discounts on the equipment you might need this year, but they are already offering discounts on daily lift tickets for The Canyons. After 25 years in the area, they know how to help you save some dough. They too are giving you reasons to book your trip early. This year, the earlier you book, the more you save. Sure, you’ll find some last minute deals, but we highly recommend jumping on this band wagon early on!

Finding activities off the mountain will not be hard since the area is overflowing with activities like shopping, dining, and tubing. See Utah in a different way by signing up for a day on a snowmobile. Thousand Peaks Snowmobile Adventures operates top of the line equipment on over 60,000 acres of private land, and even does tours at higher elevations, making sure you get the most out of your day. This tends to be a little more expensive of an activity, but we assure you, it’s not only worth it, we feel everyone should try it at least once. And there is no better place to start than in the massive snow-covered state of Utah.

So there you have it, save this year by planning a trip a little early. We’re positive you’ll find what you need to shave off the moola on every aspect of your trip to The Canyons.
