Skiing and snowboarding in New Mexico start just an hour north of Albuquerque at the Santa Fe and Pajarito Mountains. Farther north you can get your thrills at world-famous Taos and Angel Fire. But let’s not forget the Ruidoso area, with its Apache Mountain and Inn of the Mountain Gods resort & casino.

The additional ski resorts in the state include Red River, Sipapu Ski Resort, Ski Sante Fe, Ski Apache, and Taos Ski Valley. All offer excellent sking adventures and because they are less known, they are less crowded and affordable.
