From the town of Telluride, visitors can hop on the free gondola--that's right, free -- that takes them up to the Mountain Village and ski lifts. You don't need a car here because the gondola runs 17 hours, seven days a week. Up at the Mountain Village, guests enjoy a traditional ski resort village with interesting restaurants, and shops galore.

On the slopes, 1,855 acres of delicious terrain awaits, from backcountry steeps to gentle learning slopes, with a plethora of fast lifts to get you there, and friendly service to meet your needs, on and off the slopes.
Off the slopes, there are plenty of activities to keep everyone busy, from dog sledding tours to trips to the hot springs; or perhaps a little ice skating or guided excursions by horseback, for something a little different. In summer, mountain biking and spectacular hiking are the most popular activities. There's something about a hike to an authentic mining ghost town that sets a vacation well above the ordinary experience. If you prefer, the resort offers van accessed hiking adventures with guide and lunch provided.
To reach Telluride, major airlines fly into the Telluride Airport, or nearby Montrose. From the airports, reasonably priced shuttle services are available to whisk you to your accommodations. Whether your choice is a quaint B&B, an elegant full-service hotel or a fully-equipped slopeside condo or private home, Telluride has you covered.
