Riders Guide - Arapahoe gets 370 inches of that infinitely deep powder that the state is so famous for, has 6 lifts to 69 trails, with a longest run of over 8,000 feet and is rated 15% Beginner, 45% Intermediate, 20% Advanced and an absolutely unbelievable 20% Expert. Arapahoe, or A-Basin as it's also known, has some of the steepest slopes to be found at any resort anywhere, so you know you are really going to be presented with a serious challenge to the most experienced snowboarder's skill!
Parks and Pipes - - Arapahoe is the home to the highest terrain park in North America: Treeline Terrain Park features an urbanely Set 20 foot down rail, 15 foot kink rail, 30 foot C box, 30 foot straight rail, 20 foot box, 15 foot Up Box, Legendary 'A' box, Up Flat box, 30 foot jump, 40 foot jump and a trapezoid rail that will challenge even the most fearless and skilled expert. For the snowboarder who is still developing skills and isn't quite ready to face the terrors of Treeline Terrain Park, the High Divide is a new park that's set up just for them. If you're looking for huge natural air hits, try the Rock Garden off of the Pallavicini (“Pali”) Lift then proceed to North Fork's natural beams and bumps and you can really test your mettle on Pali Wog out of the Pali side for thrills and chills, followed by spills!
Out of Bounds - The Arapahoe area is a winter wonderland that is all to discover. You can choose from an absolutely magnificent number of thrilling outdoor activities such as cross country skiing, hot air ballooning, ice skating, jeeping and off-road driving, snowcatting, rock and ice climbing, sledding, horseback riding., and snow tubing. If you want to feel some amazing power between your legs, then snowmobiling is the way to go. White Mountain Tours and Aspen Canyon Ranch offer all sorts of snowmobile tours and rentals.
Hangout & Hookup - When you want to be absolutely spoiled for après ski and nightlife action, keep in mind that there are over 139 bars and eateries to be found in Breckenridge and you can go and explore them all. Choose from bars such as Breck's Lounge, Breckenridge Brewery, Briar Rose, Burk & Riley's, Gold Dredge, Jake's Dive, Liquid Lounge, Park Avenue Pub, and Ullr's Sports Bar, or from bars that also double as sizzling hot nightlife destinations such as Whale's Tail. Briar Rose, Sherpa & Yeti's, Motherloaded Tavern, Celilia's, and Wetlandz Pub. There is no way that you will ever be bored in Summit County!
The Deal - Arapahoe is a 100 mile drive from Denver via I-70 west. Take I-70 west to Silverthorne (exit 205), then travel 12 miles east on U.S. Highway 6. From Colorado Springs it's a 115 mile trip on I-25 north to C-470 west, then take I-70, and west to Silverthorne (exit 205), then travel 12 miles east on U.S. Highway 6.
