Panorama Mountain

Panorama Mountain Village is located in the Purcell Mountains and is a true Canadian Rockies retreat.

Top Skiing at Panorama

The mountain resort has one of the biggest vertical drops in North America and almost 3,000 acres of some of the best skiable terrain found anywhere. Ski and Ski Magazine regularly rate features at Panorama as some of the best in North America, like their recent addition, the Taynton Bowl which contains about 1,000 acres of backcountry skiing with gullies, glades, and chutes. The mountain gets about 144 inches of snow per year but 40 percent of the skiable terrain is covered by snow making. The groomed trails and the very popular terrain park mean that skiers and riders alike can enjoy the Panorama Mountain.

Sleigh rides, snowmobiling, ice skating, snowshoeing, cross-country skiing, dog sledding and even heli-skiing are available at Panorama Mountain Ski Resort. Ice fishing and rustic get-togethers called cowboy cookouts are also popular in the area. There are also hot springs to enjoy and a true mountainside village at Panorama that’s a pedestrian village with acclaimed atmosphere and shops. All around it’s a great place to visit because it has a little bit of everything.

For those who want a ski experience that’s away from the mainstream simply must experience Panorama. Not only is it a unique experience, but Panorama has some of the best backcountry skiing and riding on the planet. Discounts on everything from lift tickets and lessons to lodging and dining will serve to improve the quality of a ski and stay vacation at Panorama without having to spend more.

Off the Slopes

Panorama Mountain offers truly wonderful slope-side lodging but for those who prefer to fan out a little bit, there is a variety of lodging options in both Invermere and Radium Hot Springs. Ski chalets, villas and vacation homes for rent are popular in this area and are conveniently located next to this this little-known but wonderful ski resort. With ski lifts just a short walk from Panorama Mountain Village, visitors can spend more time on the snow and less time traveling to the mountain. The pedestrian village alone is charming enough to warrant a trip to the Panorama Mountain ski area.
