Snow King

Snow King is one of the three resorts near Jackson Hole. The resort is nestled in a snowy winter paradise, just 10 miles down the road from Grand Teton National Park and only 82 miles from Yellowstone National Park. Generally overlooked by the crowds of people who ski and ride at Jackson Hole Mountain Resort, Snow King is a haven for locals looking to avoid the crowds and visitors who seek runs void of the Jackson Hole hordes.

Smaller But Just As Fun

The resort boasts a reasonably modest 1,500 feet of vertical compared to other alternatives in the area but has its fair share of spine-tingling steeps and chutes. There are more than 400 acres in all, over 30 named trails. There are also terrain parks, a halfpipe, and night skiing on more than 110 acres. Off the Slopes

The Jackson Hole area is a snow lover’s dream come true. The winter snow blanketed the majestic and steep mountains, transforming them into a winter wonderland. While the resort is full-service, there is no daycare provided on-site, but they will refer guests to excellent babysitters in the area, and there are a variety of ski and snowboard lessons for children and adults. Full-service ski and snowboard rental shops, women-only programs, and adaptive skier lessons are also available. The resort’s concierge is happy to help plan any aspects of their guest’s vacation. They also offer all-inclusive vacations and many deals on ski and stay packages throughout the winter.

The mountain is conveniently located a few blocks from the center of Jackson and boasts a lovely base lodge containing a cafeteria and an indoor ice skating rink. This is a full-service resort with complimentary shuttles to and from Grand Teton Village, Jackson Hole Mountain Resort, and Grand Targhee, so guests can experience everything the area offers.

The Snow King Resort Hotel & Condominiums is a full-service hotel with an outdoor pool and whirlpools. There are also accommodations available at the Love Ridge Resort Lodge at Grand View Lodge & Spa, which offers modern amenities and rustic comfort.

Snow King houses several on-slope dining options. At the base lodge, there is a cafeteria that serves standard resort fare. The Atrium is a beautiful, airy, and rustic lodge offering an excellent breakfast and lunch spread, including unique wild game entrees to enjoy. The area’s best après ski, The Lodge, serves a full dinner menu, delicious cocktails and craft beers, and a welcoming ambiance perfect for unwinding after the sun goes down.

Getting Here

The airport at Jackson Hole is less than 10 miles from the resort, and there are frequent running shuttles between the two areas daily. If flying into Jackson Hole isn’t a viable option, the closest major airport is in Idaho Falls, Idaho. By car, the resort is located near several major all-weather highways, including I-70, I-80, and I-15.
