Snow King is one of the three resorts near to Jackson Hole, WY, just ten miles down the road from Grand Teton National Park and only 82 miles from Yellowstone National Park, the resort is nestled in a snowy, winter paradise. Generally overlooked by the throngs of people who show up to ski and ride at Jackson Hole Resort. Snow King is a haven for locals looking to avoid the crowds and for visitors who seek runs void of the Jackson Hole hordes. Snow King is a full service resort with complimentary shuttles to and from Grand Teton Village, Jackson Hole Resort and Grand Targhee so that guests can experience everything the area has to offer.

The resort boasts a fairly modest 1,500 feet of vertical in comparison to other resorts in the area, but does have its fair share of spine-tingling steeps and chutes. There are 400+ acres in all, more than 30 named trails (15% easy, 25% intermediate, and 60% advanced/expert) so skiers and snowboarders of all ability levels will find terrain suitable for them. There are also terrain parks, a halfpipe and night skiing on more than 110 acres which is served by two separate lifts. There are a variety of great discounts on lift tickets and multi-day tickets, insatiable skiers and boarders would do well to check out the great deals on the three-mountain pass.

While the resort is full-service, there is no daycare provided on site, but they will refer guests to excellent babysitters in the area and there are a variety of ski and snowboard lessons for children, as well as adults. There are also full-service ski and snowboard rental shops, women’s-only programs, and adaptive skier lessons available as well. The Concierge at Snow King is more than happy to help plan any and all aspects of their guest’s vacation. They also offer all-inclusive vacations and many different deals on ski and stay packages throughout the winter.

Snow King is conveniently located a few blocks from the center of Jackson and boasts a lovely base lodge which contains a cafeteria and indoor ice skating rink. There are also the Snow King Resort Hotel & Condominiums which is a full service hotel with an outdoor pool and whirlpools. There are also accommodations available at the Love Ridge Resort Lodge at Grand View Lodge & Spa which offer modern amenities and rustic comfort. Snow King houses several on slope dining options, at the base lodge there is a cafeteria which offers standard resort fare. The Atrium at Snow King is a beautiful, airy and rustic lodge which offers a wonderful breakfast and lunch spread, including special wild game entrees to enjoy. Snow King’s best après ski is at The Lounge, which offers a full dinner menu, delicious cocktails and craft beers and a welcoming ambiance perfect for unwinding after the sun goes down.

Getting to Snow King is simple. The airport at Jackson Hole is less than 10 miles from the resort and there are frequent running shuttles between the two areas daily. The closest major airport is in Idaho Falls, Idaho if flying into Jackson Hole isn’t a viable option. By car, the resort is located near several major all-weather highways including I-70, I-80 and I-15.
