Vermont Ski Vacation Experience
Experience Bromley, Stratton and Mount Snow so that you can make up your own mind which one of these three fine Vermont resorts offer the best thrills and excitement for your winter vacation dollar. There is nothing that the kids will love more than going on a good ol' fashioned sleigh ride through picture perfect Vermont in its snowy mantle. Taylor Farm Sleigh Rides, Horses for Hire and Karl Pfister's Sleigh Rides all offer superlative rides through the snow and have a variety of different packages and activities tied into the rides. The Stratton Sports Center has a wonderful indoor pool plus hot tubs, and saunas. It is not just a wet fun area as it also features an expansive fitness center, indoor tennis, racquetball, and massages.
Bromley is a phenomenal Vermont resort featuring 180 inches of powder which is very deep for the East. Experts will directly head for the mountain's steeper east side to test their mettle on the unforgiving Plunge, Havoc, Blue Ribbon, Pabst Peril, Stargazer, and Avalanche. Intermediates will find lots of perfect natural thrills and chills just off the high speed quad, while beginners have the Learning Center Area, a perfect, safe, easy, enclosed neophyte section of the slopes all to themselves. When they want to graduate to the open slopes, Thruway is a good starting choice.
BS features three exciting Terrain Parks to meet the expectations and the skill levels of any skiier, regardless of age or experience. Halo Freestyle Park, on Lord's Pray, is a superb intermediate level park with some outstanding features which will keep the majority of skiers very happy. The best place for the kiddies and for the beginners to have some skiing excitement just like the more experienced skiers is the Bonanza Freestyle Park. It's a really fun and well-thought out park with features scaled down in size and severity to meet the appropriate neophyte skill level. The Bromley Ski School offers all the courses you could ever want, from the Beginners Circle and Snowboard Starter suitable for the youngest child and sheer first timer to private lessons for the most experienced advanced skier.
Vermont has amazing skiing weather right through the season. As we all know, the climate is changing so there are some very rare occurrences of a sudden mid-winter thaw that turns the powder to ice in just a few hours, but that's usually followed by a powerful storm that quickly restores all that wonderful fluffy powder to Bromley, Mount Snow and Stratton.
You don't have to go far to find great dining for the whole family. The favorite Bromley family restaurant has to be Johnny Seesaw's which serves portions that would serve a small village for extremely reasonable prices. There are lots of other wonderful restaurants by the Bromley slopes such as The Red Fox, the Three Clock Inn, the Frog's Leap Inn, the Three Mountain Inn, The Garden Cafe, and Out Back at Winhall River, but don't expect to leave any of these without a smile on your face!
