Riders Guide – At the Ober Gatlinburg snowboarding facilities, you can enjoy eight different ski trails, which are serviced by one double chairlift and two quads. This makes it possible for the facility to move 6000 people per hour. Seven of the trails are tree lined and one is open. The summit elevation reaches 3,300 feet while the base elevation is 2,700 feet. You can enjoy a vertical drop of 600 feet and the longest run is 5,000 feet.

The Ober Gatlinburg snowboarding facility offers two beginner runs, one being Alpine Way with a 2,600 foot length and a 279 vertical drop. The other is Bear Run, which has a 3,200 foot length and a 393 foot vertical drop.

There are four intermediate runs, one being Castle Run. This run has a 1,100 foot length and a 163 foot vertical drop. Cub Way is 1,800 feet long and has a 163 foot vertical drop while Grizzly- an advanced run - is 3,800 long and has a 556 foot vertical drop. Mogul Ridge is also advanced and has a 300 foot length and a 235 foot vertical drop.

Out of Bounds – Night skiing is available on all of the trails except Grizzly if you are looking for a bit of extra action. Gatlinburg is also in the heart of Smoky Mountain country. Therefore, there are plenty of out of bounds options in the area and its surrounding mountains.
