Seven Springs Snowboarding Zone

Riders Guide - With 32 slopes divided fairly evenly between ability levels, 25% beginner, 40% intermediate, 35% advanced, Seven Springs Mountain Resort covers a 750 foot vertical, which is largely continuous on three trails in the North Face area, and spans more than 285 acres. There are more than a dozen lifts. Like most Pennsylvania resorts, nearly all the terrain is lit up at night so there is snowboarding seven nights a week. Seven Springs also has a recently updated and thoroughly massive snowmaking system which cranks out enormous amounts of snow each season, but fortunately this particular region of Pennsylvania receives a lot of natural snow too.

Parks and Pipes - Seven Springs is extremely snowboard friendly and since 2004, Seven Springs has remained committed to developing and growing its terrain parks, halfpipes and superpipe. In fact, the ski area now has five terrain parks all of which vary in difficulty. There is a kid’s only park, several progression parks which start mini and end massive and there is an advanced rider only park as well, perfectly suited for seasoned park riders and freestyle skiers. Currently, the five terrain parks house more than 50 features, both natural and manmade ranging from boxes, rails, jumps and jibs. In fact, the parks are so impressive, Seven Springs has received numerous accolades including one naming their terrain parks one of the top five parks on the East Coast.

Out of Bounds - The area hosts the basic wintertime activities such as ice skating, sleigh rides, snowtubing, but also has some pretty unique activities like sporting clays and fly fishing. Indoor activities abound as well with great shopping, bowling, miniature golf and the Bear Trap Fun Zone, an arcade with pool tables and air hockey.

Hangout & Hookup - There are several great après spots located slope side. They stay open after night riding has ended and really come alive once the slopes quiet down. There is the Foggy Goggles, Matterhorn Lounge, Helen’s Lounge and the Bavarian Lounge. From energetic, raucous nightlife at Matterhorn, to refined fireside cocktails at Bavarian Lounge, there is something to suit all tastes.

The Deal - Seven Springs Mountain Resort is located just off the Pennsylvania Turnpike and within 200 miles of Pittsburgh, Washington, D.C., Baltimore, Cleveland and Columbus. The Turnpike is all weather which makes Seven Springs easily accessible from all directions. Because of its proximity to major airports, getting to the area from out of town is not only easy but affordable. Visitors are guaranteed to love the great terrain and bevy of fun activities in and around Seven Springs Mountain Resort.
