Blue Mountain Ski Area proudly houses the biggest vertical and most runs in the entire state of Pennsylvania. The vertical of Blue Mountain is more than 1,000 feet, there are 3 runs over a mile long and 100% of the terrain is open for night skiing, which is guaranteed to satisfy insatiable skiers. Advanced skiers and snowboarders will want to head directly to Blue Mountain’s 5,000-foot-long double black diamond trail Challenge. Or make a bee line to Razor's Edge, a 3,000-foot double black diamond trail with its own automated snowmaking.
The Valley Lodge at the base of the mountain offers all services including, tickets, rentals and demos, full service ski and snowboard repair, a retail shop, a cafeteria and a comfortable modern seating area. The Summit Lodge, has absolutely breath taking views and a wonderful view of the Poconos, it is also a full service lodge which houses the Last Run Lounge, a great and exciting après ski spot. There is also the Summit Cafe and Vista Cafe with a warm and inviting fireplace, perfect for a nice rest after a long day of runs. The Summit lodge also features top of the line Montana Tuning Machine.
There is no lodging available slope side, but there is a host of options in the area. There are a multitude of big name hotels in the area. There are also plenty of quaint Victorian inns, charming bed and breakfasts, and grand historic mansions, there’s something for all tastes and budgets in the area. The resort offers daily ski specials and discounts on lodging, dining and lift tickets that are worth checking out before arrival. Dining options abound at the resort range from casual quick bites to eat, to luxurious sit down dining, Blue Mountain has something to satisfy everyone. Off the slopes there are many places to eat in the nearby towns of Palmerton, Danielsville, and Jonas.
The resort is just 75 miles northwest of Philadelphia, so it’s not only convenient to fly in, it is also very affordable. By car, from I-80 head to Stroudsburg, take Exit 304 to Route 33/209 South. Exit at 209 South-Lehighton. Go 11 miles to Kresgeville. Make a left onto Kunkletown Rd. Go approximately 4 miles to the stop sign and make a right. Go to first stop sign and turn left, go thru the covered bridge and follow signs to Blue Mountain Ski Area. From Route 78 head towards to Route 33 North to Route 22 West to Route 145 North. Go about 9 miles to the end of long bridge and make a right onto Blue Mountain Drive. Go approximately 3 miles to traffic light in Cherryville. Go straight thru traffic light in Danielsville to entrance sign just past the top of the mountain
