The numbers coming out of Cranmore are pretty impressive for an East Coast ski resort. There are 54 trails spread out over 200 acres of land and a 2,000 foot summit. Trails are divided between all experience types, with a majority of trails for intermediate skiers (44%) but there are plenty for both beginner and advanced skiers and snowboarders. 11 of the trails stay open for night skiing. There are also 3 terrain parks of varying difficulty levels to explore in the resort.

Cranmore has a lot more to offer its guests than just skiing and snowboarding. Cranmore has an indoor fun zone, a 10 lane tubing park, a large indoor family fitness center, indoor tennis courts and Cranmore’s newest attraction, The Mountain Coaster. Already incredibly popular in Europe, this attraction boasts thousands of feet of twists and turns to ride and the speed of the ride can be controlled by the rider ranging from a leisurely pace to a speedy 25 miles per hour.
As part of Cranmore’s commitment to the environment and the green movement, the resort utilizes eco-friendly biodiesel fuel to operate their four grooming vehicles. They have also invested in 70 additional high-efficiency snow making guns, which replaced the older, less efficient tripod snow guns.
There are plenty of dining options at Cranmore and the surrounding areas. Some of the best food in the area can be found right at Meister Hut, which is located slope side. The Beer & Brat is a relaxed and casual après ski option for those looking for an affordable meal and a cold brew after a long day on the mountain.
Affordable lodging options are plentiful in the area as well. The nearby towns of Conway, North Conway and Bartlett host accommodation ranging from motels to inns, cabins, cottages and deluxe suites. Many of the area’s lodging offer exceptional ski and stay packages that are worth checking out.
Mount Cranmore is located 1.5 hours from Portland, ME and Portsmouth, NH and about 3 hours from Boston. By car take RT-16 to North Conway and make a right at Kearsarge Street.
Mount Cranmore is celebrated as one of the more popular resorts in the Mt. Washington Valley region, and for good reason, its impeccable terrain, helpful staff, cozy lodging, and fabulous dining makes it the ultimate ski resort.
