Riders Guide - Loon Mountain has over 350 acres and 26 miles of runs for boarders to shred. In fact, it has been named as some of the best snowboarding in the East. 12 lifts, including 3 high speed quads, get you all over the three peaks and to the 9 terrain parks spread throughout the resort.
Parks and Pipes - Loon Mountain has been ranked in the Top 5 for Parks and Pipes by the readers of Transworld Snowboarding Magazine and a top pick for freestyle skiing in the East by Freeskier Magazine. Loon Mountain has 9 different parks, including a few top secret parks that will pop up throughout the season. The Loon Mountain Park, Loon’s most famous park, contains 3,600 feet of jibs, rails and jumps as well as their massive 18’ superpipe. With 9 parks to choose from snowboarders and freeskiers of all experience levels will be able to find a park that suits their abilities.
Out of Bounds - Loon Mountain is near several other resorts making the area a very popular place during the season. On the slopes the resort offers tubing and snowshoeing as well as ice skating and indoor rock wall climbing. Off the slopes there is shopping, bars, restaurants and clubs to experience once the mountain has closed for the night.
Hangout & Hookup - There are many different places to hangout while at Loon Mountain, whether it be on the slopes or in the nearby resort towns of Lincoln and Woodstock. On the mountain there are several eateries and pubs, including the Babe’s Blue Ox Lounge and Paul Bunyan Room, both located slope side these are considered to be two of the best places to grab a drink and meet up with friends.
The Deal - It couldn’t be easier for you to get to Loon Mountain. Boston’s Logan Airport is a two hour drive and the smaller Manchester Airport is only 1.5 hours away. By car, Loon Mountain is located right off of Exit 32 on I-93. Additionally, Loon Mountain provides complimentary shuttle service to and from much of the lodging in town.
