
Ski Ragged Mountain, New Hampshire
Ragged Mountain is a relatively unknown ski resort in New Hampshire, but is
continuing to grow thanks to recent renovations and investments. Ragged
Mountain is one of the fastest growing ski resorts in the state, giving
visitors plenty of good reasons to get to the park and experience all the
improvements for themselves.
Ragged Mountain provides 220 acres of trails and glades. There are 45 different
trails, with some of them style-specific (board or skis), and others that are
open to all. The resort has a relatively good mix of beginner (30%),
intermediate (40%), and advanced (30%) trails. Skiers can enjoy the exact
experience that they desire, whether it be a leisurely and scenic beginner run
or a demanding and challenging advanced trail.
There are several lifts to get skiers around the mountain. The mountain
features an overall height of 2,250 feet and a vertical drop of 1,250 feet
which means there is plenty of space and varied terrain for skiers to explore.
Additionally, the resort has an assortment of lessons ranging from private
full-day, group half-day to lessons catered to small children and beginners.
There is also a full service ski and snowboard rental and repair shop located
slope side for added convenience.
The mountain provides great dining opportunities, a complete cafeteria,
featuring homemade fare is located close to The Pub at Ragged Mountain, which
is the ideal spot for wood-fired pizza and beer. Tallulah’s Tavern is a perfect
après ski spot, providing plenty of entertainment and an extensive drink menu.
Ragged Mountain is 20 minutes off of both I-93 and Route 104, providing two
simple and direct ways to access to the Ragged Mountain. It is also less than
an hour from Manchester, NH and less than two hours from Boston which is
excessively convenient for those visitors traveling from out of the area.
