Riders Guide - Gunstock is a magnificent New Hampshire resort with a total of 8 lifts, comprising of 3 Surface Lifts, 2 Double Chairs, 2 Triple Chairs and 1 Quad Chair that take you up to 49 trails where you can snowboard on their longest run of 13,200 atop 105 inches of powder. Their trails are rated 8% for Beginners, 72% for Intermediates, and 20% for Advanced.
Parks and Pipes - Gunstock's terrain park is lit up for night riding and spreads out over 22 acre. There is an absolute monster halfpipe that will challenge any snowboarder's skills, plus lots of fun winding trails with knolls and rollers. Keep in mind that 72% of the terrain is intermediate.
Out of Bounds - When you're at Gunstock, you're also very close to some other amazing resorts and destinations like Mount Sunapee, Pats Peak, Whaleback and Ragged Mountain, whose winter wonderland charms are all well worth exploring and enjoying to the max. Hangout & Hookup - Offering an upbeat pub area and a non-smoking dining room, Patrick's Pub & Eatery is a fine place to dine in Gilford. Live entertainment is featured in the pub on Wednesday through Saturday nights and the brew is always ice cold and on tap.
The Deal - The nearest major city airport from Gunstock is Boston which is about two hours drive south of the Resort. From I-93 North: Take exit 20 in Tilton, NH. Turn left on Rte. 3N. Travel along Rte. 3N for about 10 minutes. Bear right onto the Laconia By-Pass 3/11. Take the second exit, Rte.11A in Gilford. Turn right at end of exit ramp. Follow 11A east approximately 5 miles to Gunstock Mountain Resort. Entrance is on the right. From I-95 North: Just south of Portsmouth take split to Routes 4 & 16. This will put you on the Spaulding Turnpike. Take Spaulding Turnpike to exit 15W for Rte. 11W to Alton. Stay on Rte. 11 around Alton traffic circle and around Alton Bay. Take a left onto Rte. 11A. Take Rte. 11A approximately 5 miles to Gunstock entrance on left.
