Located in south central New Hampshire, Mount Sunapee “wants to be the reason you can’t wait for winter” and by offering some of the most breathtaking views and some of the best family-friendly skiing and snowboarding in the East, it’s no surprise that people have been faithfully flocking to Mount Sunapee for more than 50 years.

Mount Sunapee has over 65 trails spread over 232 acres of terrain and 10 lifts to get visitors to all of them. The breakdown of the runs is as follows, 26% beginner, 49% intermediate and 25% expert and advanced. The summit at Mount Sunapee is 2,743 feet and there is 1,513 feet of vertical rise. The mountain also has three terrain parks, Six O’ Three, Calypso and Eastside.

Families, couples and groups will find plenty to do while visiting Mount Sunapee. The resort has several slope side dining options featuring casual cafeteria style dining. The Goosefeathers Pub is an animated bar with live entertainment on the weekends. There are also plenty of restaurants, shopping and lodging options in nearby, New London, Newport and Newbury.

The Mountain Edge Resort & Spa, is a popular choice among guests to the Mount Sunapee area and features an outdoor heated pool, rec room, and spa. It is less than .5 miles from the resort. There is also the gamut of lodging options in the area from budget motels to charming cabins and luxurious townhomes.

The numerous lakes in the area provide plenty of opportunities to ice skate, ice fish and snowmobile. New London, “the Snowshoe Capital of America” has just that as well as The Norsk Ski Touring Center which offers groomed trails, lessons, rentals and even moonlit tours.

It’s very easy to get to Mount Sunapee, in part due to its proximity to major metropolitan areas. Concord, NH and Manchester, NH are both less than an hour away. Boston’s Logan Airport is less than two hours away. By car the resort can be reached from I-93, I-89 and I-91 and is located just off of Route 103 in Mount Sunapee.
