Ski Mount Washington

Skiing in Mount Washington is one of those very rare skiing locations where you are completely spoiled for choice in magnificent resort. You can choose between Dartmouth Skiway, Loon Mountain, Tenney Mountain, The Balsams, Waterville Valley and of course, Cannon Mountain, all offering 150 inches of that amazing North Eastern powder and all the fun you and your family can handle

Attitash is a beginner's and intermediate skiier's dream mountain. The mid range skiers will love Kachina, Illusion, Avenger, and Myth Maker and might even want to try their skills on Ptarmigan. Full out experts might want to head directly to nearby Mount Washington to find terrain that will really challenge their skills fully. Attitash's Adventure Center has to be one of the best in the Eastern United States and is packed with programs that will keep the kids busy and happy all day long, including the Learn To Ski And Ride programs. Over at Loon Mountain Resort, the neophytes and kids have a wonderful and expansive learning area to play on near the Governor Adams Base Lodge, and very easy and safe runs at The Link, Brookway, Grand Junction, and Lower Bear Claw. Intermediates will find lots of terrain suitable to their skills at Lower Flying Fox, Upper Speakeasy, and Rumrunner. Experts will prefer the eye-opening challenges of Upper Flying Fox, Haulback and Triple Trouble. All this makes for an incredible Mount Washington Valley Ski Vacation.

Attitash has two Terrain Parks and an amazing pipe so that you can ski all the artificial features you can handle, regardless of your skill level. Training Ground is an introductory park containing small features and rails which is just great for the kids and the neophyte skiier, while the Fly Zone, Attitash's expansive Terrain Park, is loaded with table tops, rails, jibs and medium to large hits. When you're really ready to challenge the ultimate, head for the Stunt Ditch, a 500 foot superpipe that has to be skiied to be believed. Gird up your courage and go show the crowds that skiers can do anything skiers can! Attitash also has a great Ski School with a Three Day Guaranteed Learn To Ski And Ride program which can make a great skier out of almost anyone!

Skip the cafeteria lines at Attitash Base Lodge and head upstairs to Ptarmigan's for great food, especially their wonderfully warming soups and stews. The kids will love the variety of tasty pizzas at Crawford's Grill, and ask at the Lodges as if the weather will allow it, you can enjoy amazing outdoor BBQ feasts!

The Mount Washington area has to be one of the most exciting and well-developed skiing wonderlands in the East. You can find a great selection of courses to prepare you for wild outdoor adventure at the Appalachian Mountain Club; go tubing at Cranmore, Black Mountain, Shawnee Peak or King Pine; go climbing some amazing verticals with Eastern Mountain Sports or the International Mountain Climbing School; try some indoor ice skating at the Ham Arena, or head to the enormous Cranmore Sports Center where you'll find indoor tennis, pool, steamrooms, saunas, and a staggering 40 foot indoor climbing wall!
