Riders Guide - Alpine Valley in Michigan is a great place for families, offering 25 runs that range from beginner to advanced, and 3 top quality terrain parks. There are 188 skiable acres and the resort has expanded its snow making to cover 100% of the skiable area so that there's always plenty of snow.

Parks and Pipes - Featuring a 350-foot half-pipe, Alpine Valley offers plenty for experienced skiers, and there's a magic carpet for beginners. There are 6 double chair lifts, 2 triple chair lifts, 1 quad chair lift and 4 tow ropes. The 300 foot vertical drop may not be the highest, but the variety of trails offers something for the whole family. Rollers, mail boxes, handrails, flat boxes, jumps and a variety of flat rails make up the terrain parks which have areas for beginners and advanced snowboarders. The Progression Park is the basic park for beginners, and the Advanced Slope Style Course has higher ramps that offer more challenge. The Boarder Cross Track is great for high-speeders, and advanced skiers.

Out of Bounds - The snowboard and ski school regularly offers packages to skiers, both kids and adults, who are ready for some expert snow sports instruction. From private lessons to group lessons, with special rates for students and small children, the ski school is the perfect way to ready yourself for the more challenging slopes. Night skiing and snow tubing are also available.

Hangout & Hookup - There's a great local lounge that's the ideal place for après-ski and for quality food. The lounge has a panoramic view of the mountains and is a perfect place to relax after a day on the slopes. Live entertainment makes this a great evening meet up place, as well. Other lounges are great places for après-ski cocktails and conversation, as well as quality entertainment generally on the weekends.

The Deal - Alpine Valley is located White Lake, Michigan, only 55 miles from Detroit Michigan. The resort is located conveniently on M-59 between Bogie Lake and Elizabeth Lake Road. Pontiac is 12 miles east of Alpine Valley. Coming from Lansing Michigan, drive on I-96 East until you reach M-59 East then follow that to Alpine Valley, on one of the most scenic views in the area. Coming from the Ann Arbor area, take US 23 North to the M-59 exit and follow it directly to Alpine Valley.
