Boyne Mountain is built around a series of peaks, including a ridgeline and out of bounds backside that rests alongside Deer Lake. This well developed mountain retreat brings visitors a well-balanced ratio of trails, runs over a mile in length, and truly beautiful views and vistas. Boyne Highlands is build upon a bowl, and provides a different sort of ski experience. Once again, we find a well struck balance of trails for all abilities, and world-class amenities.
The trails on each of these two mountains are well groomed, and snowmaking is at the leading edge of the art form. The terrain parks are well-designed and maintained, and all of this translates to a good, fun time! While there's award-wining restaurants and dining available, you can also refuel with a bowl of chili and enjoy a lager at the top of the mountain while you warm up and take in the incredible views! Après ski and nightlife is also diverse, with everything from family entertainment to the adult party atmosphere of the Zoo. There's live music, live performances and even theater, just about every way one could imagine to enjoy the nightlife, it's all yours to choose from, along with some very unlikely options. The year-round water park, for example, has a wave pool where you can try your hand at the other board sport, surfing! There's a wet rock climbing wall in there, and a walkway full of arcade games too, giving you several ways to enjoy the evening hours as well!
Back on the mountain, you'll be pleased to find that the Snow Sports Academy has imported hand-picked instructors from Austria! They'll help you through your first time on skis, or give you invaluable tips and hints to improve your aerial abilities. People find that a little bit of competent tutoring can make a world of difference in your skiing! The terrain parks are a real plus too. With a little practice, you'll soon be trying tricks you might never have been set up for somewhere else. They have a quarter pipe on one mountain and a super pipe (half pipe) on the other. There are more railyard features at Boyne than any other resort in the Midwest.
