Wachusett Mountain

Wachusett Mountain is a delightful ski area in Eastern Massachusetts near Boston. It’s one of the highest mountains in Eastern Massachusetts and has been a beloved family ski resort for many generations.

Guests can expect great, varied skiing and riding, as well as stunning 360 panoramic views, including the magnificent Boston skyline to the east. The ski area boasts more than twenty trails across 110 acres and covers over 1,000 vertical feet. The trails are greatly varied, 30 percent suitable for beginners, 40 percent intermediate, and 30 percent advanced. Additionally, they have 100 percent snowmaking coverage on all terrain, night skiing and the trails are groomed twice daily.

There is a wide array of amenities and services offered at Wachusett Mountain. The ski and ride school is absolutely excellent and provides lessons for first-timers as well as more advanced skiers and riders. Private and group lessons are available. In fact Wachusett’s ski school is the largest ski school in Massachusetts. They resort area also offers childcare and activities for the kids. A NASTAR racing program that has been rated in the top ten nationally. There is a ski and snowboard rental shop, which features a great array of equipment as well as an excellent demo center. They also boast an award-winning ski patrol of over more than 100 highly trained and skilled skiers and riders.

Off the Slopes

The base lodge is a large, warm, and beautiful building. There are decks surrounding the outside, an enormous fireplace, several delicious restaurants, a café, cider house, and lounge. The Wachusett Village Inn and conference center is owned and operated by the mountain and a delightful place to stay during the winter. There are also an array of historic inns, bed and breakfasts, hotels and motels in the area. Many offer spectacular deals throughout the winter.

Getting Here

From Boston, take Route 2 west to Exit 25 for Westminster/Princeton. Take Route 140 south, then turn right onto Mile Hill Road and travel 1/2 mile to the ski area entrance on the right. From Hartford, Connecticut, take Route 84 east to the Mass Pike East to Exit 10 Auburn to Route 290 East to Route 190 North to Exit 5 Route 140 North nine miles to a left onto Mile Hill Road and travel 1/2 mile to the ski area entrance on the right.
