Riders Guide
Mt. Shasta Ski Park is a large snowboarding area, providing you with over 425 acres of sweet snowboardable land. There are 32 different trails available, with 20 percent dedicated to beginners, 55 percent to intermediates, and 25 percent to advanced snowboarders. The mountain has night skiing on over 14 trails, and nearly 300 acres of snow-making for those less-than-stellar parts of the season. 4 different lifts carry a capacity of over 6,000 riders per hour.
Parks and Pipes
Mt. Shasta Ski Park has plenty to offer to snowboarders who are looking to get a little more out of their snowboarding experience than some good runs. Revolution is the terrain park for the area, an incredible park that features various obstacles, rails, and pipes. Revolution has some pretty unique features, which include the “Mini Battleship”, the “Wave Box”, “The Battleship”, and “The Dragon”. Mt. Shasta Ski Area also features a Super Halfpipe, and impressive pipe that is over 300 feet long.
Out of Bounds
While Mt. Shasta Ski Park tends to focus on the actual skiing and snowboarding of the area, there are plenty of other things to do in the surrounding town of Mount Shasta. The area offers everything from Ice Fishing and Ice Skating to Snowmobiling, Snowshoeing, Dog Sledding, and Cross-Country Skiing.
Hangout & Hookup
Looking for some good food right on the mountain? Mt. Shasta Ski Park provides plenty of options, including the Coyote Grill and BC’s Pizza. Those who are looking for the perfect mix of food and après-ski will find it at both Sliders Bar and the Black Diamond Grill. Both are known for their great food and strong drinks.
The Deal
The Mt. Shasta Ski Park couldn’t be easier to get to, thanks to it’s close proximately to the surrounding cities and the surrounding highways and expressways. Mt. Shasta Ski Area is located less than 10 miles off of Interstate 5 and Highway 89. The area is around 70 miles away from Redding, California and is about 100 miles away from Medford, Oregon.
