Snowbasin, although one of the oldest ski areas in the United States circa 1939, recently became world famous since hosting several events at the 2002 Winter Olympic Games. For over 60 years Snowbasin was coveted mainly by those in the know and by local area powder seekers. That changed when two incredibly tough courses were set on the now famous Wildflower and Grizzly ski runs. On these runs America’s Bodie Miller gave an edge of the seat performance to capture the Alpine Combined silver medal. During these Olympics viewers from around the world got a chance to see the ski area’s groomed cruisers runs, steep chutes, high alpine bowls, deep-powder glades, and spectacular scenery. Snowbasin Resort offers skiing and snowboarding with a variety of terrain to suit everyone's taste. The resort has over 40 ski runs and 1,800 acres of powder and groomed trails. Both chair lifts and a tram service the highest vertical rise in the state of Utah. This fast growing area owned by the same people that own Sun Valley now boasts four lodges with breathtaking views and numerous dining and shopping choices.

Powder Mountain, also nestled high in the spectacular Wasatch Mountains offers over 4,000 acres of the finest skiing anywhere on the planet. There are over 1,200 acres of powder and tree skiing serviced by snow cat as well as 1,200 acres of backcountry powder skiing accessed by a shuttle service. Powder Mountain also offers a backcountry guided tour service on a reservation basis - when conditions permit.
