The Canyons offers a slew of slow cruisers, bowls, steep slopes, and Aspen and pine skiing for true snow sports enthusiasts. With an average 355 inches of snow per year, a vertical rise of 3,190 feet and 8 mountain peaks, the opportunities for advanced terrain abounds. There are 3,700 skiable acres, 5 bowls, 6 half-pipes, 2 terrain parks, 18 lifts and 160+ different trails to choose from, most of the trails are designed for expert and intermediate skiers and about 10% of the trails are rated for beginners. The terrain at Canyons is thoroughly impressive and visitors will revel in the sheer amount of powder runs, tree skiing and backcountry that can be explored.

Horse-drawn sleigh rides, snowshoe tours, dog sledding and even winter fly fishing are available in addition to world-class Alpine, Nordic and cross-country skiing. There is an extensive array of fabulous ski and snowboarding lessons offered at the resort. Whether it’s private or group lessons, for new skiers and boarders or those who want to become expert riders, the resort has the class and the instructors to handle all age and ability level classes.
The Canyons Resort offers a ski-in/ski-out option that will keep guests right at the base of the mountain and near to the action. A variety of lodges near the Village offer lodging options that range from luxurious to rustic and down-home. Whatever the taste or budget, the resort has it, there are also many great ski and stay vacation packages offered through the resort. In the general Park City area there are ski chalets, cottages, rental homes, condominiums as well standard hotels and motels available.
Located only 35 minutes from Salt Lake City International Airport, it's one of the easiest ski resorts in the United States to get to, and the largest ski resort next to a major international airport. There are also convenient shuttle buses and cab services available from the airport. By car, just follow I-80 East from the airport to Exit 145 at Park City, then follow signs from there. As an added convenience, buses run throughout the resort to help get visitors around the ski area as well as the Park City area.
