Canyons

Located in Park City, Utah—just down the road from both Park City Resort and Deer Valley Resort—the terrain and backcountry of Canyons Resort offers the best experience in the region for more advanced skiers and boarders.

The Largest Ski Resort in Utah

As the largest ski resort in Utah, the Canyons offers a slew of slow cruisers, bowls, Aspen and pine skiing, and steep slopes for true snow sports enthusiasts.  Because the Canyons is connected to Park City by a single gondola, this resort is the largest ski area in North America accessible by one ski pass- a staggering 7,300 acres!  With an average 355 inches of snow per year, a vertical rise of 3,190 feet, and eight mountain peaks, the opportunities for advanced terrain flourishes. Currently, there are 4,000 skiable acres, five bowls, six natural half-pipes, three terrain parks, over 20 lifts, and more than 160 trails on The Canyons side. Most of the trails are designed for expert and intermediate skiers and about 10 percent of the trails are rated for beginners. The terrain is thoroughly impressive and visitors will revel in the sheer amount of powder runs, tree skiing and backcountry to explore. You know there is more! Discover what else these mountains offer with Ski Experience and Terrain Parks.

Off the Slopes

Horse-drawn sleigh rides, snowshoe tours, dog sledding, and even winter fly fishing are available in addition to world-class Alpine, Nordic and cross-country skiing. There is an extensive array of fabulous ski and snowboarding lessons offered at the resort. Whether it’s private or group lessons, for new skiers and boarders or those who want to become expert riders, the resort has the class and the instructors to handle all age and ability level classes.

The resort offers ski-in/ski-out option that will keep guests right at the base of the mountain and near to the action. A variety of lodges near the Village offer luxurious to rustic and down-home. Whatever the taste or budget, the resort has it! There are also many great ski and stay vacation packages offered through the resort. In the general Park City area there are ski chalets, cottages, rental homes, condominiums, as well standard hotels and motels available.

Getting Here

Located only 35 minutes from Salt Lake City International Airport, it's one of the easiest ski resorts in to get to, and the largest ski resort next to a major international airport. There are also convenient shuttle buses and cab services available from the airport. By car, just follow I-80 East from the airport to Exit 145 at Park City, then follow signs from there. As an added convenience, buses run throughout the resort to help visitors get around the Park City area.
